Android O is right around the corner, and we are all excited about its updated experience and added features. Stock and clean look, blazing fast UI, and a lot of new features, how would you not like it? But let’s face it, even if it comes out it doesn’t mean that your device will get it soon. Actually, the odds are that you will wait for a couple of months, or even more, to get the update. However, because we are talking about an Android ecosystem, there are some ways how can you get the new visual experience even on your smartphone. In this article, I will present you how can you get an Android O look on any unrooted device.

Install Android O Pixel Launcher

The first thing that you need to change if you want to get the Android O Look on your device is the launcher. The latest official launcher from Google is Pixel launcher. This launcher will also be found on the new Android O version.

Pixel launcher was originally introduced in 2016 with the Pixel phones by Google, and it offers a blazingly fast experience with an exclusive Google Now integration. Although it is free on the Google Play Store, it is not compatible with all Android devices. Also, there are many Pixel launcher copies available on the market, but none of them supports direct Google Now integration. You can get the original Pixel launcher only if you own a Nexus or Pixel device.

However, the developers found a way how to install the Pixel launcher with Google Now integration on any Android device. And the most important, this procedure does not require root access. Here are the instructions:

  1. First, enable the unknown sources on your device – Go to Security settings and click on the Unknown sources. That will allow you to install apps from sources other than the Play Store.
  2. Next, download the latest version of the Rootless Pixel Launcher. Here is the link to the download section Pixel Launcher. After loading the site, click on the apk file to start the download.
  3. After you download the apk, you need to install the Pixel Launcher. Just open the file from the notification area and click install.
  4. Finally, hit the home button and set Pixel Launcher as the default launcher.

Now you got your fully functional Pixel launcher on your Android device. You can swipe to the right to access your Google Now cards, and swipe up to access your app drawer. Feel free to arrange your home screen to your likings.

Android O Wallpaper

The overall Android O experience on your phone will not be complete if you don’t have one of the coolest Google wallpapers. For that purpose, I attached the link to the official Android O wallpaper announced by Google. Here is the link Android O Wallpaper.

Additionally, for more Google wallpapers you can download the official Google Wallpapers app from the Play Store. Here you can find a lot of cool wallpapers categorized into different sections. Check out the link to the Play Store Wallpapers.

Now you can enjoy the pure Android O Look even if you don’t own a Pixel or Nexus device.
