The com.sec.android.app.(name) is an error usually related to the launch app which pretty much everything on the android is in someway related to. When the “com.sec.android.app.(name) has stopped” error pops up, it seems almost impossible to get your phone back.
The error can also trigger other apps to show various errors such as com.sec.android.provder.logsprovider, com.sec.android.app.twlauncher, com.android.mms etc.. has stopped.
Try this first method out and hopefully you won’t have the issue anymore:
Press and Hold the Power Key until you see the Power Off menu.
Now of course you won’t be able to click on the menu right away. Try to press the power off button from the shutdown pop-up menu after you click on force close (on the error pop-up) because sometimes the error takes some time to re-appear and you might be able to register the click to power the phone off.
If you are successful in doing that, wait for 10 seconds after your phone got shut down, restart it and voila, the error should no longer be there!
If you are still facing this issue, then there are a few additional steps that can be taken. Before you proceed, make sure that you take a backup of the data on your phone:
Switch your phone off.
Press and hold the home button and the power button for around 10 seconds.
After 10 seconds, let go of the power button but keep a hold of the home button. The Android system recovery mode will now appear.
You should be presented with the following 4 or 5 options:
reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
Now firstly we will try the “Reboot system now” option. Press the power key with the option being highlighted.
Test if the issue is resolved. If not, then follow the steps from 1 to 4 and proceed to step 7.
Using the volume down button, move to the Wipe data/ factory reset option and press the power key to select.
If the phone doesn’t reboot itself, use the volume up button to move to reboot system now and press the power button.
